The service

Placeset plans weekly dinner menus, shopping lists, and budgets for your household, with optional AI-powered features. You need an account for live features; a demo mode works without one.

Recipes, cost estimates, and nutrition figures are honest best efforts, not guarantees. Grocery prices vary by store and region; nutrition values are computed from USDA data and labeled approximate. Always verify ingredients against your own allergies — our tolerance filters are a planning aid, not medical advice.

Placeset Plus subscriptions

Placeset Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription (monthly or annual) purchased through Apple. It unlocks the AI concierge features: menu edits, occasion menus, Pantry-to-Plate, and the cooking sous-chef. Core planning features stay free.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at purchase confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings. Free trials, when offered, convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies.

AI features carry fair-use limits so the service stays sustainable. Limits are generous for normal cooking use; we may adjust them, and we'll be transparent when we do.

If Apple's Family Sharing is enabled for the subscription, one purchase covers your Apple family group.

Your content

Recipes and photos you publish to the community remain yours. By publishing, you grant Placeset a license to display them in the app and on public share pages, with attribution. Don't upload content you don't have rights to, and nothing unsafe, hateful, or off-topic — submissions are reviewed and we may decline or remove content that breaks these rules.

Community recipes with repeated user reports are unpublished automatically pending review.

Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service: no scraping, no attempting to bypass subscription gates or usage limits, no interfering with other households' data, no using AI features to generate content unrelated to cooking. We may suspend accounts that do.

Disclaimers and liability

Placeset is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. You can stop using Placeset anytime and request account deletion (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
